Ed Gein is very much abuzz right now due to the recent Netflix show about him, but even after watching 'Monster: The Ed Gein Story', his true character remains a mystery. What we do know is that Gein was an emotionally stunted man with schizophrenia who believed he could resurrect his mother from the dead by making a skin suit out of corpses. But when detectives uncovered his house of horrors, the media took the bizarre story and ran with it. Since then, Gein has inspired some of the scariest American films - from Norman Bates (Psycho), to Leatherface (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre), to Buffalo Bill (The Silence of the Lambs). And while Gein's story has become a folk tale of sorts, Na'im and Xia attempt to debunk some of the myths surrounding him.
