US President Donald Trump posted overnight between Wednesday and Thursday that he was proud to announce that Israel and Hamas had both signed off on the first phase of his peace plan. “This means that all of the hostages will be released very soon, and Israel will withdraw their troops to an agreed-upon line.”

The president on Monday evening: I am very proud to announce that Israel and Hamas have both signed off on the first Phase of our Peace Plan. This means that ALL of the Hostages will be released very soon, and Israel will withdraw their Troops to an agreed upon line as the first steps toward a Strong, Durable, and Everlasting Peace. All Parties will be treated fairly! This is a GREAT Day for the Arab and Muslim World, Israel, all surrounding Nations, and the United States of America, and we thank the mediators from Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey, who worked with us to make this Historic and Unprecedented Event happen. Jerusalem Post: The agreement means that Hamas will release all of the remaining 20 living hostages within the next 72 hours. A Hamas source told al Araby al Jadeed that all of them will be released in a single batch during the first phase of the deal. The deal is expected to be signed in Egypt on Thursday afternoon, sources in the Hamas terrorist organization told Lebanese outlet al Mayadeen (JPost).

President Trump said Wednesday he expects Hamas to release all remaining Israeli hostages on Monday — as families celebrated the breakthrough peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinian terror group.

“The big thing is hostages are going to be released probably, our time, would be, probably Monday,” Trump told Fox News host Sean Hannity, in an interview hours after he announced that both Hamas and Israel had agreed to the first phase of his 20-point plan for peace in the Middle East.

“They’re in a terrible situation there,” Trump said of the 48 hostages believed to be in Gaza, more than half of whom are thought to be dead.

“God bless you, Mr. President. God Bless America,” another family member said in the video shared by the White House.

Israel’s Most Dangerous Prisoner On the Way to Freedom As Hamas Demands Release of October 7th Terror Chiefs

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich believes that releasing Palestinian prisoners, whom he referred to as “the next generation of terror leadership,” will have consequences, including the released prisoners planning to “do everything to continue spilling rivers of Jewish blood.”

President Trump told Netanyahu,  ‘Israel cannot fight the world, Bibi, they can’t fight the world.’ And he understands that very well.” Incredible that the world stands with Islamic barbarity.

The War Against Israel and the Jews Won’t Stop Even if Gaza War Ends

Dr. Hagai Ben-Artzi: We are signing off on the next massacre and kidnappings

By: Israel National News, October 9, 2025:

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s brother-in-law Dr. Hagai Ben-Artzi warns against deal with Hamas, says it means ‘signing approval for the next massacre with our own hands.’

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s brother-in-law, Dr. Hagai Ben-Artzi, spoke in the Arutz Sheva – Israel National News studio Thursday, offering scathing criticism and dire warnings regarding Israel’s agreement with Hamas.

When asked if he also feels a sense of joy at the news, Ben-Artzi replied: “There is always joy. I rejoiced when the three soldiers were freed in the Jibril Deal, and I rejoiced when Gilad Shalit returned. But at the time, even back then and even more so today, I knew that with our own hands we were signing the next kidnapping, the next massacre, and the next murders.”

[Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, mastermind of the October 7 massacre, was released from prison in 2011 along with 1,026 other terrorists as part of the “Shalit deal,” in which IDF soldier Gilad Shalit was released from Hamas captivity.

Several other “Shalit deal” terrorists have also returned to terror, as have terrorists released in the November 2023 and January 2025 prisoner swaps with Hamas.]

Ben-Artzi noted that when he opposed the Shalit deal in 2011 and was labeled a “spoilsport,” he never imagined that its price would ultimately be “around two thousand dead and murdered, and thousands more wounded. And even now, we cannot fathom the scale of the next disaster we are signing onto at this very moment. We don’t yet see the faces or the names, the towns and the homes — but for me, it’s already real. For forty years already, I’ve fought against the moral abomination of releasing terrorists.”

Responding to claims that Israel is now paying the price for Netanyahu’s refusal to approve a Shin Bet plan to eliminate Yahya Sinwar, Ben-Artzi stressed that mistakes are not corrected by making even greater mistake: “We are caught in a chain reaction. We erred with the Jibril Deal forty years ago and should have learned our lesson. Rabin later regretted that mistake when he realized it had led to the First Intifada, with hundreds killed and thousands wounded. A rational person learns from the past, but for forty years already we’ve been making deals, and each time the price that we pay after the deal is greater, because we are not only releasing the next terror leaders but also creating motivation to continue the murder and massacre and kidnappings because see,
