During his rally in Tucson, Arizona last week, Donald Trump went off on a tangent about how much it totally doesn't bother him to be called "weird" by Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. Even though that line of attack has died off in recent weeks, it is still clearly getting under Trump's skin to the point where he can't think about anything else. To make things worse, the rest of his bizarre rally ended up even worse, forcing CNN to cut away from the nonsense. 

Also, if you think that ridicule of Donald Trump is limited to within the borders of the United States then you are sorely mistaken. After his claims about Germany having to go back to fossil fuels after renewable energy failed (made during the debate last week), the government in Germany fired back and pointed out that not only are they increasing their reliance on renewables, but also they don't eat cats and dogs, a dig at Trump's most insane comment of the evening.

And Vice President Kamala Harris's debate performance was so powerful, and her dismantling of Donald Trump was so brutal that she has now surged to the largest lead that she has had over him since entering the race. According to a new poll by Reuters, Harris now has a five-point lead over Trump in the national polls, and that is well outside the margin of error. This is a good explainer as to why Trump is too scared to get back on stage with her.

Finally,  a small group of Republicans in the House of Representatives have banded together with Democrats to prevent Donald Trump from trying to steal the 2024 election if he loses. When Trump tried his first coup in 2020, Democrats controlled the House so it was easier to stop, but Republicans could be in the majority in January, and that could spell disaster. This is why Republicans are already trying to prevent a catastrophe from happening.
