President Donald Trump heeft geëist dat de Fed de rente later deze week verlaagt. Maar het lijkt zo goed als zeker dat de centrale bank, die onafhankelijk is, de rente onveranderd zal laten. 'De relatie tussen Fed-voorzitter Jerome Powell en Trump zit ruim onder het vriespunt', zegt BNR's huiseconoom Han de Jong.
