Description

Vulnerability is a common hangup in podcasting. How much of that crazy anecdote is appropriate to share? What will the listeners think of you? Should you be embarrassed? This fear of judgment can create a wall between a podcaster and the audience which can ultimately hurt the relationship and compromise the quality of the podcast itself.

In this episode, I’m exploring that feeling of self-consciousness and how to deal with it as a podcaster. Everyone is different, so there’s not really a quick fix that works across the board. However, on my own journey I’ve found success with some small changes and habits. My hope is that some of my examples will resonate with you and help you open up to be the best podcaster you can be!

Topics discussed:

  • Reflecting on self-trust
  • How do we embrace the cringe?
  • Audience perspectives on vulnerability
  • Helpful journal prompts
  • Establishing a unique voice
