Description

I’ve never broken a bone
I’m the youngest of two sisters
I’m an incredible runner

When I feel God I know He’s real and He is happy with me
If I don’t feel God, He’s not working and I start to doubt Him
Feelings are not accurate indicators of God’s reality

Esther 2:5-7  //  Now there was in the citadel of Susa a Jew of the tribe of Benjamin, named Mordecai son of Jair, the son of Shimei, the son of Kish, who had been carried into exile from Jerusalem by Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, among those taken captive with Jehoiachin king of Judah. Mordecai had a cousin named Hadassah, whom he had brought up because she had neither father nor mother. This young woman, who was also known as Esther, had a lovely figure and was beautiful. Mordecai had taken her as his own daughter when her father and mother died.
Esther 4:11   //  “All the king’s officials and the people of the royal provinces know that for any man or woman who approaches the king in the inner court without being summoned the king has but one law: that they be put to death unless the king extends the gold scepter to them and spares their lives. But thirty days have passed since I was called to go to the king.”

Just because God seems silent does not mean:

God is not working

Esther 4:14 b  //  And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?

God is not in control

Job 38:4-5  //  Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation?
Tell me, if you understand.
Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know!
Who stretched a measuring line across it?

God is not for you

Romans 8:31-32  //  What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?  He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

I don’t know WHAT but I know WHO
God is moving - are you watching?
God is speaking - are you listening?
God is prompting - are you noticing?
We don’t want to wait so we:

Distract
Settle
Go to other “sources”

It’s not an activity issue; it’s an awareness issue

Isaiah 55:9  //  “As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Lie: God isn’t speaking, isn’t active.
Truth: He is speaking, am I listening?
