U.S. oil and gas rigs decrease by four, with oil rigs dropping by three to 409, down 71 from last year. Crude oil production slips by 16,000 barrels per day, averaging 13.811 million barrels per day, 42,000 under the recent peak. Frac spreads also decline, with 153 active crews, 48 fewer than at the start of the year. The Permian Basin sees a decrease of six rigs, now at 244, down 60 from last year.
