Description

The US Senate is holding a vote that could pave the way to end the longest government shutdown in American history. Senators are voting on a Republican stopgap funding package. The package would reopen the government into January and fund some parts of the government for the next year. The Republicans need Democrat support for that to happen. Healthcare funding has been a major sticking point.
