In this week’s UWF Fury Cast, Gene Jackson dives into Episode 20 of Herb Abrams’ UWF Fury Hour, featuring the long awaited Lumberjack Match: Paul “Mr. Wonderful” Orndorff vs. “Dr. Death” Steve Williams which somehow still ends in the most Herb Abrams way possible: in a match designed to prevent that exact outcome.

The episode kicks off with a bizarre hype package clearly intended to sell the UWF to TV stations rather than fans, complete with claims of “no frills, no gimmicks” while showing a guy using a chain.

From there, Gene breaks down:

* Captain Badd looking like a bargain bin luchador while Don Muraco ROCKS him

* UWF logic: heel interference, ref knocked out… ref wakes up and DQs Dr. Death anyway so WTF was the point in the knock out in the first place!?!?

* Orndorff challenges Dr. Death to a steel cage match, comparing winning by DQ to “kissing your mama” (ok, Paul)

* The always excited Herb Abrams announces the cage match sounding like someone cut his coke with sedatives (what a rib!)

And somehow, that’s only the halfway point.
