We sit down with Ryan Lommen, also known as Upland Edge on Instagram, from Minnesota and a member of the HuntWise Team. Ryan hunts with a golden retriever and a brittany. Ryan is your everyday type hunter, like many of us including me, and enjoys being out in the uplands watching his dogs work and also spend time hunting with his family. Minnesota is a truly special state, and not on the minds of many upland hunters, when it comes to upland bird opportunities. If you are lucky enough, you could be selected to hunt prairie chickens and if you are willing to head north, you could hunt sharptail grouse. You can also hunt ruffed grouse and pheasant to name a couple more! Tune in as we talk with Ryan about these different species and his experiences hunting them.
