Description

In this Episode we explore the many facets of Urban Farming. Urban Farming can be as simple as growing vegetables in pots on the balcony, to a full scale farm in urban settings, and everything in between.
The relationship between ourselves and our food has become more meaningful in the past decade or so, and will only grow (Pun? Yep) more prominent as we continue to learn how the lack of nature in our daily lives affects us.
Bringing food production to local levels offers improvements by allowing people to know their farmers and how their food was grown. It reduces the carbon footprint of the farming process, with less transport necessary and makes use of otherwise unused real estate, such as building roof tops.
We are just at the beginning of this flourishing movement. (Pun intended. Why doesn't any one like puns!) It is sage ( Yeah. Good one?) to look at the future effects urban farming may have on communities and future housing.
