In this episode, I discussed the impact that debt has on Americans. I talked about taxes, trickery from banks, the definition of usury, historical usury, payday loans, title loans, and rent-to-own businesses, tricks at the pump, debit minimums, and other hidden fees and costs that are plaguing us. I feel like debt disease is the biggest illness that most Americans have. It’s a proven fact that if a person has high amounts of debt, there’s an 85% chance that they will have high anxiety and stress, have substance use issues, be addicted to drugs and alcohol, and they’re more likely to have major mental health issues. The odds ratio is something like 8.57, which is outrageous.
