According to the American Cancer Society, when breast cancer is detected early, and is in the localized stage, the 5-year relative survival rate is 99%. Along with mammograms, advanced technology using DNA testing can help detect breast cancer. As we continue #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth, we met with Ogden Clinic women's health specialist, Dr. Amber Whitear, to talk about methods of prevention by detection and genetic testing for breast cancer.
