Using Golf to Help the Veterans with John Simpson
Update: 2021-01-20
Description
This was definitely one of my favorite episodes to date. John Simpson is a golf enthusiast and the founder of the non-profit organization, On Course Foundation. John previously worked as a senior vice president at the sports and media firm IMG, where he managed various sportsmen including Nick Faldo, Bernhard Langer, Greg Norman and Sebastian Coe just to name a few. After visiting the British defense medical rehabilitation center at Headley Court in England, he was moved to help injured veterans. As a child, John suffered from polio and as a result, has only one fully functioning leg. He turned to golf at the age of 14 and has always had a passion for the game. On Course Foundation, which operates in both the UK and the United States, helps injured veterans learn the game of golf and then helps them find employment in the golf world. Amazing stuff and definitely a charity people should look into. Thank you, John!
