The Jazz beat the Portland Trailblazers 120-100 while holding Damian Lillard to only 9 points! Utah had seven players in double figures for scoring and the team shot 50 three-pointers hitting on 38% of them. There is a lot to be excited about from this season opener and it shows what the Jazz are capable of becoming this season. Will they be fighting for the second seed in the western conference this year? There are reasons to be skeptical of this first win since the Blazers don't have the best defense and Dame Lillard may have just had an off night. But there is a bright future for this Jazz team if they can stay focused and healthy.
