Description

In today's episode David Njoku discussed on a trending controversial dispute between Vincent Martins (VeryDarkMan) and Linus Martins (Blord). We discussed the legal implications of their actions and whether or not there are liable on any statute in Nigeria.

We highlighted that BLord's action did not amount to misrepresentation or fraud as pursuant to Section 419 of the Criminal Code. Reason being that he disclosed publicly that the product in question was a rebranded iPhone XR in iPhone 17 body. This showed transparency on BLord's side. However, we also identified how the release of that obscene material on his Instagram story contravened Section 24(1)(a),(b) of the Cyber Crimes Act making his liable to fine of 7 million naira or imprisonment of up to 3 years or both fine and imprisonment.
