Vi indleder vores 6. sæson, der som overordnet emne har album udgivet på det tyske selskab ECM (Edition of Contemporary Music), med en introduktion til det stilskabende selskab og dets grundlægger Manfred Eicher.Vi lytter til musik fra 7 albums indspillet fra 1967 til 2005: Paul Bley's "Ballads", Marion Browns "Afternoon of a Georgia Faun", Jan Garbareks og Bobo Stensons "Dansere", Keith Jarretts "Köln Concert", "Pat Metheny Group", Oregon's "Crossing" og Christian Wallumrøds "A Year from Easter".
