Slam the Gavel welcomes Alex Baker, J.D. and Renee Guzman to the podcast. Alex Baker, J.D., was last on the podcast Season 3, Episode 122 and 146. 
     Alex Baker, J.D. explained the two types of a "Vexatious Litigant " is and how it affected Renee's case. Renee Guzman talked about her experience with the family court system in Sonoma County, California. Renee and Alex exposed an ineffective system that has failed victims repeatedly.
     Renee, is a survivor of domestic violence, stalking and extreme torture, psychological abuse, sexual assault that resulted in a child being born, C-PTSD and Legal Abuse Syndrome. Renee also watched her ten year-old son be taken from her and psychologically abused via Stockholm Syndrome while Judge James G. Bertoli presided and ruled based on the Mediator's report. Judge Bertoli also participates in a musical band called, "Court 'n Disaster."
    These personality disorders, Narcissists and Psychopaths are masters of manipulation, creating false narratives in and out of the courtroom that are so believable that it's nearly impossible to counter them. Renee has learned that there is no way to co-parent with a Narcissist or Psychopath. It's also impossible to mediate or compromise with an individual that thrives on conflict.
    Renee recommends that if family court can be avoided, try to do so.
