Description

It’s flooding in Louisiana!  What’s new(s) about that?  In episode 50 we discuss the recent (and still ongoing) flooding affecting much of southern Louisiana, give some of the meteorology behind this extraordinary rainfall event and talk about the local and federal response and tepid coverage by the national news media.  We also talk about Evan’s first-hand observations and volunteer work over the past couple of weeks here in our home community.

Then we move on to more pleasant topics with our final round-up of the just-completed Summer Olympic Games from Rio.  We discuss some of our favorite moments, great U.S. victories and some not-so-stellar moments from a couple of high-profile athletes.
