Frank Jacobs (Daniel Stern) is a motel owner in the geographical center of the country, but has dreams of being a country singer. When he meets another singer (James Caan) and his femme fatale girlfriend, Frank’s life is turned upside down. First, his wife is murdered (Patricia Richardson) and then as the police begin to investigate, his wife’s twin sister (Patricia Richardson) shows up asking questions.
