We enjoy our watches every day, revelling in the intrigue of which timepiece to select for a particular outfit or event. The excitement of sharing the story behind your watch or its mechanism with a fellow aficionado, or knowing that your time-telling piece is unique or part of a limited edition series with an exceptional complication beneath its simple dial, is unmatched.

However, have you ever considered who is responsible for the design of your watch, making it appear precisely as it does? Who conceived the idea of its curved or unconventional shape, rainbow diamond pave bezel or a stone dial of a specific colour, rendering it so attractive?

In today's episode, we pay tribute to the watch designers in the company of  Emmanuel Gueit, the person who designed a multitude of fantastic timepieces, including the iconic Royal Oak Offshore, and survived the critics of Gerald Genta himself.
