In this episode, Nikki Lytle and I talk about the warning signs of suicidal ideation so that you know what to watch for and what you can do about it. 

Nikki is a 46-year-old- middle Georgia native with 4 really cool kids, ages 12, 14, 17, and 19, and married to her very own UPS guy.  She has 21 years as a PA and is now working in child and adolescent psychiatry. 

Graduated from Northside HighSchool then Wesleyan College (pre-med), South University (Bachelor of PA studies), University of Nebraska Medical School (Master of PA studies), Master of Developmental Psychology from Walden and is now working on her Doctorate in Psychiatry from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professionals.

Nikki wrote About Suicide; Memoir of Jane Doe in 2016 and founded a nonprofit, Mental Health 1st in 2021.  Her purpose is the prevention of adolescent suicide because of her own suicide attempt as a teenager. 

Besides working in behavioral health for her day job, She speaks locally on suicide prevention and has organized several mental health campaigns in local school districts. 

She is a gem of a human and is doing so much good in the world. I really enjoyed our conversation and hope you do, too.
