以《牛騷 New Soul》專輯入圍金曲獎「最佳客語專輯獎」的黃子軒，不刻意強調傳承，希望從傳統音樂創作中傳遞出自然底蘊，並從祖先賦予的客家血統汲取養分，讓母語文化這個「舊瓶」持續注入新的活水。同名歌曲〈牛騷 New Soul〉則以山歌音階的牽聲為啟發，詮釋出動態自由的 R&B 曲風。
Award-winning Hakka artist Huang Zi Xuan does not deliberately emphasize cultural inheritance, but he does pass on this heritage through traditional music composition. His music is couched in Hakka traditional culture bestowed upon him by his ancestors, injecting new life into a centuries-old culture. The eponymous song off the album New Soul draws on folk influences, portraying a dynamic R&B style.
