In our second to last week in the Old Testament, readers will read through five different minor prophets. While all of these books have slightly different historical contexts and audiences, they largely overlap during the reign of the Assyrian empire. While some prophets write before their rise, others write about the coming judgment from Babylon as a judgment against Assyria's ungodliness and Israel's waywardness.
