They kick things off by attempting to decode the endless pieces of a hockey uniform. (Why does a child need more protective gear than a medieval knight? A cup for a girl is called a what? Why are the socks actually not socks?)

From there, they take listeners on a tour of the rink spectrum—from the “crappiest of barns” with questionable smells and negative-12° locker rooms, to the rare, majestic “ice palaces” where the coffee is actually drinkable and the bathrooms don’t require hazmat suits.
