West Midlands Bus On Demand: A New Era of Public TransportThe familiar Ring and Ride and Coventry’s On Demand services have merged into a new system called West Midlands Bus On Demand, operated by Via. This move aims to simplify public transport, with a new fleet of smaller, more accessible vehicles. The service hours remain the same, and passengers eligible for the old Ring and Ride scheme can still travel across the wider region. Via, with experience in thirty-five similar services, guarantees affordable, high-quality, and accessible transport for vulnerable residents. Meanwhile, a separate contract for the Black Country Ring and Ride service has been awarded to HATS.
