In honor of Women’s History Month, Shimsky will host a roundtable of leaders to discuss how to create effective networks for women leaders, how society is enabling women to be a visible force in economic, social, and political arenas and how to encourage the next generation of women leaders, through role modeling and mentoring, to reach career opportunities unexplored.

Shimsky will be joined by Catherine Lederer-Plaskett, President & Chair of the Board of WCLA – Choice Matters, a community organization dedicated to supporting and defending female reproductive rights and Karen Cheeks-Lomax, Executive Director of My Sister’s Place, a community-based organization that provides support for victims of family violence.
