My industry expert, Ilena Alvarez, is a Florida-based attorney specializing in estate and business planning, probate, and guardianship law. She holds both a Juris Doctorate and a Master of Laws in Taxation from Cooley Law School (now Western Michigan University). With a passion for legal education, Ilena has spent over a decade teaching as an adjunct professor at Broward College, where she teaches courses in legal writing, business law, and litigation. In addition to her legal work and teaching, she is currently co-authoring a nonfiction book with Patricia Hartman, CPA, and is also working on a contemporary fiction novel.
