Description

The 2017 Australian federal Budget announced increases in maximum student contributions for government-supported university students, along with lower income thresholds for repaying student debt.


Professor Glyn Davis, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Melbourne, Sophie Johnston, President of the National Union of Students and Andrew Norton, Higher Education Program Director at the Grattan Institute with moderator, broadcaster, Jim Middleton, examine these changes in a Grattan Institute Policy Pitch event, at the State Library Victoria on Wednesday 6 June 2017.
