This week’s podcast is part eight of a series of episodes of presentations recorded during the recent ADA NSW CPD Program “How to Refer, When to Refer”. This series relates to a dental practitioner's scope of practice and how to manage a patient’s best interests. These presentations focus on the duty of care, the importance of recognising one’s own limitations and referring patients to others more qualified when appropriate. They also highlight that clear and comprehensive communication is essential in order to make any necessary referrals effective.

In this eighth and final episode, we present a lecture titled “How to Refer & When to Refer to an Oral Medicine Specialist” delivered by Dr Suma Sukumar, an oral medicine specialist from Sydney.
