Wheat Futures Drop on CBOT
Update: 2025-12-29
Description
Wheat futures opened lower today, with December contracts dropping by about five cents per bushel. The March contract traded down to five hundred thirteen dollars and fifty cents. Volume is lighter than Fridays levels. May, July, and September contracts also declined. Traders are monitoring these moves due to steady demand from exporters and ample global supplies. Farmers may feel the impact if prices remain low, affecting bread and livestock feed costs. Todays estimated volume is around eighteen thousand eight hundred twenty contracts, compared to Fridays fifty-eight thousand twenty-five. Open interest dipped by three thousand five hundred twenty-five contracts. Afternoon trading could see a rebound based on weather forecasts and export sales data. Stay tuned for updates.
