“Nehemiah said, ‘Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.’”
Happiness depends on what’s happening, but joy depends on Who we trust. Joy in the Lord doesn’t ignore pain—it transforms it. It’s the steady assurance that God is near, faithful, and working in all things for our good.
When joy becomes our strength, fear loses its grip, grief loses its weight, and hope rises again.
