Evil exists in the world because Satan is the god of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4). Jesus told us in John 10:10 , “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” The killing, stealing and destroying are not from God, but from Satan. 

Another reason for the rampant evil in the world is that God's people don't pray. Jesus told us to pray, “Thy kingdom come, thy will be done.” Why would He tell us to pray for His will to be done if it just happens automatically? If we don’t pray, His will is not done, and God doesn’t get involved.
