Starting a hustle is hard. Starting a hustle without a community by your side is nearly impossible. Yet, a lot of hustlers continue to pursue their dreams alone.

We’ve heard time and time again about how we were created for community and why we need relationships. You probably can rattle off a few Bible verses on why fellowship is important, too.

If we were created for community, why is it so hard for us to find community we can thrive in?

I don’t remember building community being this hard. When we were in school, it was easy to find people on similar paths to ours and create lasting bonds. I can remember having a group of 15 guys on any given weeknight who would go out to movies, play ultimate frisbee, or just have long meaningful conversations at a Chipotle.  

Now that I’m older, married, and moved to an entirely new city it’s difficult finding anyone just to say hi. Community looks different now than when we were younger, and that’s ok.  

Community is ever evolving and what worked for us when we were younger won’t work for us now. We have to start making an effort to look for community in the right places.

“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”Hebrews 10:24-25

Community is apparently something that God wants to see in our lives. He’s created us to stir up one another, to love one another, and to encourage one another because He knows we need each other.

Having a community, especially for hustlers, is vital to our soul and our business. When we have a group of people that we can connect with, we have a chance to learn from each other, exchange business tips, and pass on knowledge to one another.
