💥 Join me today on the podcast as I exhort: You've been brought near by the blood of Christ. And I'm here to encourage someone who finds themselves struggling in the "walk:" You must no longer set your mind on the things of the flesh to indulge in activities that do not please God. People struggle mainly because they have not submitted themselves fully over to God. James 4:7 gives us the "recipe" - "submit therefore yourselves to God, resist the devil and he shall flee." That's Bible. Now we do know struggles comes to test our faith. Struggles comes to teach us to lean and depend on God even more. Struggles also comes as discipline from God. You will become frustrated in these struggles. But if you come with clean hands and a clear conscious, you will be able to discern what this struggle is all about. Today, we are looking at those who are, in fact, struggling because they refuse to repent and turn from sin. We got to understand in Christ, no longer are we filthy, wretched, unclean heathens!

While we are in the world, we are going to struggle with the desires of the flesh. But as we’re walking in the Spirit, we’re no longer under the tyranny of the desires of our flesh (Galatians 5:16 ). "But I say, walk habitually in the [Holy] Spirit [seek Him and be responsive to His guidance], and then you will certainly not carry out the desire of the sinful nature [which responds impulsively without regard for God and His precepts]."

Our spiritual life is about growing in our dependence upon the Spirit - our source of power for godly living rather than being downtrodden and burdened by sin - for, alas, you will always struggle in your walk with Christ when sin abounds!
