What you never knew about trials

Jesus promised that the walk with Him would easy and that our burden would be light.

Matthew 11:28-30 KJVS[28] Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. [29] Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. [30] For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

However, the bible indicates that if we live in transgression, our way would be hard. We are further taught that there is no peace to the wicked.

Proverbs 13:15 KJVS[15] Good understanding giveth favour: but the way of transgressors is hard.

Isaiah 48:22 KJVS[22] There is no peace, saith the Lord, unto the wicked.

The following quotes from the pen of inspiration tell us some very interesting and inspiring truths about trials.

Trials would exist in greater power and number were we to refuse obedience to Christ and become the servants of Satan and the slaves of sin.  4T 557.3

Those who love their Redeemer will rejoice at every opportunity of sharing with Him humiliation and reproach. The love they bear their Lord makes suffering for His sake sweet.  MB 30.1

A life of monotony is not the most conducive to spiritual growth. Some can reach the highest standard of spirituality only through a change in the regular order of things. When in His providence God sees that changes are essential for the success of the character-building, He disturbs the smooth current of the life. He sees that a worker needs to be more closely associated with Him; and to bring this about, He separates him from friends and acquaintances. When He was preparing Elijah for translation, God moved him from place to place, that the prophet might not settle down at ease, and thus fail of gaining spiritual power. And it was God’s design that Elijah’s influence should be a power to help many souls to gain a wider, more helpful experience.  GW 269.3

TORSOE TOOTHACHE REMEDY

There are 3 quick and easy remedies to help get rid of toothaches

The first is a charcoal poultice tootsie roll style. Make charcoal poultice past by mixing equal parts of hot water and flax seeds. Let it thicken slightly. Add enough activated charcoal so that the consistency is like that of toothpaste. Then, place some of the paste in roll gauze. Roll it up to secure it and tie the ends with some thin string. Then, place the tootsie roll charcoal poultice next to the painful tooth. Leave there for a couple hours and replace it with a fresh one.

The second remedy is carrot pulp. It can also be made with shredded carrots. We use the pulp from the carrot juice that we routinely prepare. Use the tootsie roll method above or just pack some of the pulp or shredded next to the painful tooth and leave it there for 10 – 15 minutes. Then, spit it out and replace with fresh carrot pulp.

The third remedy is clove oil. This can be purchased online or at a health food store. Place the oil on the gum near the painful tooth with a q-tip. Do not place the oil directly on the tooth and avoid contacting other parts of the mouth as clove oil is very spicy hot. Clove oil helps eliminate bacteria and numb the area that is painful.

Sharing and Caring

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:11 ,12.

“Those who will put on the whole armor of God and devote some time every day to meditation and prayer and to the study of the Scriptures will be connected with heaven and will have a saving, transforming influence upon those around them. Great thoughts, noble aspirations, clear perceptions of truth and duty to God, will be theirs. They will be yearning for purity, for light, for love, for all the graces of heavenly birth. Their earnest prayers will enter into that within the veil. This class will have a sanctified boldness to come into the presence of the Infinite One. They will feel that heaven’s light and glories are for them, and they will become refined, elevated, ennobled by this intimate acquaintance with God. Such is the privilege of true Christians. { 5T 112.4}
Abstract meditation is not enough; busy action is not enough; both are essential to the formation of Christian character. Strength acquired in earnest, secret prayer prepares us to withstand the allurements of society. And yet we should not exclude ourselves from the world, for our Christian experience is to be the light of the world. The society of unbelievers will do us no harm if we mingle with them for the purpose of connecting them with God and are strong enough spiritually to withstand their influence. { 5T 113.1}
Christ came into the world to save it, to connect fallen man with the infinite God. Christ’s followers are to be channels of light. Maintaining communion with God, they are to transmit to those in darkness and error the choice blessings which they receive of heaven. Enoch did not become polluted with the iniquities existing in his day; why need we in our day?” [5T 112,113] Testimonies For The Church, Vol. 5, pp. 112,113
