In the latest episode of Trans-Tasman Tales, Anna Brown, Second Secretary at the Australian High Commission sits down with Dr Ken Silburn, recipient of the 2015 Prime Minister's Prize for Science in Secondary Teaching, and named one of 2017's top 10 teachers in the world. 

Ken spent a week in New Zealand as part of the Australian High Commission's public diplomacy work, hosting workshops with teachers and students, engaging with New Zealand's science community and presenting at the New Zealand International Science Festival, and SCICON, the Science Educators Conference.

Ken and Anna talk about the importance of engaging students in STEM, including young women, the highlights of his visit to New Zealand, and Ken's unique approach to science education.
