Description

Winton House on the High Street, home to many charities in town and the Community Cafe, recently had an expensive refurbishment to the Grade 2 listed building.

Robert Venables, 86, is the President of Winton House and he oversaw an extensive refurbishment there 15 years ago, that actually took a decade to complete, not least because so much was needed, but also an unexpected storm damaged the Victorian stained glass windows.

Robert explains how it was all done and why the building, used for and by the community, needs cherishing.
