For the fifth time in the past four seasons, and the fourth time in the Luke Fickell era, Wisconsin football has a new “rock bottom.”
A loss to the Maryland Terrapins, the first in program history, in which the Wisconsin Badgers never led, is the latest data point showing Wisconsin is not just trending downward; it is in a complete, undeniable tailspin.
Between on-field execution failures in a run game that produced 1.5 yards per rush and a baffling decision to trot out an injured starting quarterback behind a far-from-elite offensive line, booing Badgers fans are running out of patience for Fickell and company.
Talkin’ Badgers went live immediately following the loss, if not to dissect the play on the field, to at least blow off some steam.
