In this episode, we Interview Loretta Sarah Todd about her new movie, Monkey Beach. 

 

MONKEY BEACH features Grace Dove, Secwépemc (THE REVENANT, HOW IT ENDS), who returns from Vancouver to her northern ocean-side village of Kitamaat. Dove’s character has harrowing visions and premonitions of death.  The film, adapted from the book of the same name written by award-winning author Eden Robinson, Haisla/Heiltsuk, shows Dove claiming her power after fearing her visions and the mythical creatures. Adam Beach, Saulteaux (SUICIDE SQUAD, FLAGS OF OUR FATHERS, SMOKE SIGNALS), plays Dove’s uncle who nurtures her.
