Mark Tan, founder of Immersell, shares a similar vision for the future of retail. His company helps stores create pop-up shops in the metaverse. During the COVID lockdown, he built an unfinished virtual world to explain how vaccines interact with the virus, which helped him learn building and scripting. He then created a "store" for an imaginary client, featuring elements like a "Squid Game" glass bridge. Despite its lack of a consistent theme, this project attracted his first real business owner, allowing him to refine his design skills and operational processes.

From this experience, Mark began offering services to help businesses design engaging and interactive metaverse spaces to tell their stories, boost brand image, and drive sales. Believing that immersive experiences are the future, he leveraged his gaming background to enhance his work. Noticing limitations in platforms like Horizon Worlds—such as the lack of native URL access and customer data capture—he developed the Pop-up Store System. This innovative solution integrates payment into metaverse stores without violating community guidelines, making him well-known in the Horizon Worlds community. Now relying on word of mouth, he strives to provide the best services possible and has a few paid clients using his offerings.
