YolanDa Brown, O'Hooley & Tidow, Terje Isungset
Description
November's edition of Turn Up The Volume! contains three wonderfully warm, intimate and authentic interviews with three brilliant artists who are coming to The Stables. YolanDa Brown - musician, performer, broadcaster and philanthropist - talks about the power of music to make a difference, especially for young people, her own musical upbringing, her love of jazz, how she loves breaking with convention, the lyricism of the saxophone and.... multi methodology in Management Science!! (she did a PhD in that). Then it's up to Yorkshire for a deeply personal chat with Belinda O’Hooley and Heidi Tidow, talking about loss, love, living with autism and their wonderful new album Cloudheads. And finally, from Bergen in Norway, Nick speaks to Terje Isungset, who is bringing his ethereally beautiful Ice Quartet to The Stables for an evening of music composed and played on instruments carved out of ice in the Arctic. It's totally unique and Terje brings it to life in this interview.
