I would like to share my philanthropic journey today. During a time when I was struggling financially and depending on government help, I wanted to be a philanthropist. Despite my circumstances, I wanted to make a difference and contribute to the community.

After starting my own business and getting involved with doTERRA essential oils, I found the Healing Hands Foundation. However, I felt ashamed whenever they asked for donations because of my finances. When I couldn't contribute, I would quietly leave the room. 

In the process of finding personal growth and financial stability, I started donating to various causes, including the Healing Hands Foundation. One of my favorite parts was when they announced their matching program. Anyone can apply for a matching grant for a nonprofit they believe in.

I organized a fundraiser for Ride My Road, a local organization that raises awareness about human trafficking. Thanks to doTERRA's matching grant, we were able to double our fundraising efforts.
