Young and the Restless spoilers see Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), who is less than pleased about his granddaughter, Claire Newman's (Hayley Erin), romantic involvement with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). Not one to sit on the sidelines, Victor may be plotting to use Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) to drive a wedge between the young couple on the CBS soap opera. 

Y&R spoilers see the Newmans and the Abbotts stand at crossroads, eerily reminiscent of a modern-day Romeo and Juliet saga. Victor's disdain for the Abbotts might be driving him to influence Claire's perception of them, despite the counterclaims of Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters). While Victor's attempts to sway Claire have been met with resistance, his strategic mind might be laying the groundwork for a more indirect approach. 

Spoilers for Young and Restless see Victor's manipulative tendencies could see him encouraging Summer's already apparent jealousy towards Claire's relationship with Kyle and her bond with Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell). Summer's actions could serve as the catalyst Victor needs to break up Claire and Kyle. However, Victor's past of pitting family members against each other raises the question of whether he will do the same with his granddaughters.
