Nonsikelelo Ndlovu-Fayayo is joined by Communitypodium and Matobo Youth Development Initiative founders Nkosikhona Dibiti and Descent Deco Dube.This episode discusses the challenges young people in Matabeleland face, and the solutions they are implementing in the region.Dube’s Matobo Youth Development Initiative has built a network of young people in Matobo who work with their community to implement solutions to accountability challenges. Among these are dialogues with community leaders, and actions such as building clinics.

Dube noted that his initiative was inspired by the migration of young people to South Africa, and their lack of access to information. Similarly, Dibiti described a similar challenge in the communities of Nkayi, Lupane and Tsholotsho. He discusses how that the absence of the voices of young people in conversations is related to the poor development of their communities.

Dibiti described the community dialogues hosted by Community Podium, and said that they found that as young people participated in these they sharpened each other's thinking, and shared strategies to address their challenges.
