Zohran Mamdani, the duly elected Democrat nominee for mayor of New York City is the new Democrat Party hotshot. Just like that, this 33-year-old New York State Assemblyman with four years' political experience displaced Sen. Bernie Sanders, Congresswoman Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez, former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, California Governor Gavin Newsom, and Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer as the face of the Democrat Party. The problem is, like the 83-year-old Sanders, Mamdani is a Democratic Socialist, and even more often than Sanders, Mamdani openly spouts communist principles and policies like "seize the means of production." Zohran's likely election fall 2025 as NYC Mayor and his Democratic Socialism are a problem for the national Democrat Party, and his radical politics are certainly a problem waiting to happen in NYC because his views do not comport with American traditional ideals nor common sense.
