Welcome to the “Zone In” podcast. If you aren’t familiar with NIL, it stands for name, image, likeness, and it was a landmark decision that allowed college athletes to monetize themselves. Following the 2021 Supreme Court ruling that said the NCAA could not limit education-related payments to student athletes, many young athletes have found themselves flooded with sponsorship offers and brand deals. It’s an exciting moment. But it’s also one that can lead to many more questions and challenges. At J.P. Morgan, we help people take a long-term view as they plan their dreams and financial success.
