For this month’s episode, cbuzz is revisiting a CEO Insights conversation with Greg Ubert, founder and president of Crimson Cup Coffee & Tea.

Greg Ubert explored a path not traveled by many when he left his job in high-tech software to pursue a coffee venture.

The Harvard graduate felt pressed to share with others the realization he had only just come to himself – coffee didn’t just have to be for caffeine, it could also taste great. This began Ubert’s quest for the perfect cup that resulted in the 1991 founding of Crimson Cup Coffee & Tea right here in Columbus.

The company focuses a great deal on conscious capitalism, a trait he says the younger generation is searching for when making decisions as a consumer. This focus is becoming more important for the organization as it continues to grow; it currently operates across 37 states and has expanded internationally, as well.

Crimson Cup’s story is one of innovation and entrepreneurial success that will invigorate you just as much as one of their steaming cups of coffee. Be sure to tune in!
