remembering when with MaryRose Shanahan
Description
During this week’s episode of Greener Fields Hannah chats with MaryRose Shanahan from Leap in West Cork — a Pilates teacher and the founder of Wild Atlantic Recovery, a mobile sports recovery business.
After finishing she made the decision to move to Dubai, navigating a breakup and life away from home for the first time. That choice sparked three years of travel, during which she lived in seven countries, including Bali, Australia, France, Thailand, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, and Dubai.
In this episode she reflects on recognising when her life no longer felt aligned, the lessons she learned through self-development, completing her yoga teacher training in Thailand, and working as a recovery coach across Southeast Asia. She also opens up about injury, the challenge of knowing when it was time to come home, and the pull that eventually brought her back to West Cork.
Now home MaryRose shares how cold water swimming — especially in Lough Hyne helped her reconnect with herself and how founding Wild Atlantic Recovery allowed her to bring everything she learned on her travels into meaningful work. Another special conversation so make sure to check it out.
