الشكور صيغة مبالغة من الشكر, وقد ذكر الجزري في النهاية أن الشكور هو الذي يزكو عنده القليل من أعمال العباد فيضاعف لهم الجزاء, فشكره لعباده مغفرته لهم, وقد نقله المباركفوري في شرح الترمذي مقرا له, وذكر في موضع آخر أن الشكور هو المثنى على عباده المطيعين.
